    I have been saying since 2006 to fellow students, you cannot go into medicine for the money. 

    This is a pretty depressing article but I think it really highlights why going into medicine for the money is a fallacy.

    Being a doctor does not mean you make a lot of money even if your salary is high. Paying off the amount of money one takes out in loans for med school takes a lot of your income, especially the interest rates.
